mountain shots

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. [Psalm 121 NIV]

    Saw your post on the daily news on Facebook’s Blog network. Thank you for posting those beautiful pictures and the Psalm. I love when the beauty of Nature draws us closer to the heart of the Savior. Thank you for the reminder that the One who created the mountains also watches over me.

    God bless!

    One translation I read once read “The Lord himself watches over you”. What a thought! He doesn’t assign it to someone else. He does it himself.

    When you consider the context of the psalm, the idea of looking to the hills (perhaps in fear) and wondering where your help comes from (only for a moment) and then saying “Oh yeah, my help comes from the one who made it all… I got no worries…”

    Thanks!
