update: blog rush increases my traffic
Well, I don’t know if it is a good thing… but I can report that my traffic has definitely increased in less than 24 hours.
Numbers are up. But is it worth it? Is having less control of the outgoing links on my blog worth it?
Awaiting verdict.

My concern is the incoming links that you can’t control. Have you had any problems with inappropriate links?
that is what I meant… sorry - I meant the links that show up in the widget for people to use - to check out what is “from the blogosphere.”
No “inappropriate” in the sense of stuff I would be ashamed of (ie adult in nature) - I have checked every time I log on - most of it is definitely spiritual (some of it is eastern religion, some of it is not what I would endorse in the realm of christianity). But here I would say - it has to be up to the individual reader to discern…

I just got an invite to join BlogRush, so I’m clicking through the links to see how far down the rabbit hole goes…
So far I think the links are heavily geared toward paranormal, new age and Eastern religion. There are *some* Christian links, but they lose to the others in terms of numbers. So have you decided if it is worth it yet to have the increased traffic? I’m up in the air about this one.

currently on my widget for Blog Rush - 4 out of 5 are christian and two of the blogs are regular reads for me…
also blog rush has been exceptional in my opinion thus far with communicating with me and seem to be committed to the point that they are currently hand reviewing all applicants to ensure “quality blogs” — they also are adding more categories - currently for my blog the only category is “religious/spiritual” - if the new categories are more specific that will also change the kind of stuff that shows up on the widget.
The jury is still out - so I don’t know if I will stay with it - but I will say it has directed traffic my way - and since I write my blog to be read - that is in my mind a good thing.
