That was a GREAT piece on Shane, his community “The Simple Way”, and New Monasticism in general…
It’s things like this that make me both hopeful and depressed at once. Hopeful that I could be a part of something like this in the future, and depressed that where I am right now is so far from it…
Curtis thanks for the comment… yes - I get that hopeful depressed feeling. I do hope that the renewal comes from such unexpected places and that a “new monasticism” would flourish across the States and anywhere else which might need such life.
